America: God’s special place

Ashley Stinnett
Over 300 years ago, a colony of pilgrims and a group of Wampanoag Indians, gathered together for a celebration feast in what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts. The meal was a mutual “thanksgiving” to God, whom they highly revered as the nucleus of their journey to a distant land.

Providence.
It was only a mere 14 years earlier that the first official American colony was established in Jamestown, Virginia where one of the first and most successful Protestant churches was established. Both colonies appeared to hold deep Christian values, as did many who migrated from England during that era of new “discoveries”.
Racial bitterness boils in Atlanta, where mayoral race becomes fight over ‘black control’

Ashley Stinnett
Seemingly slipped through the notoriety cracks is Atlanta’s hotly contested mayoral race. While most eyes tomorrow will be focused on the outcomes in New Jersey, New York and Virginia, the city of Atlanta could have its first white mayor since 1973.

Sorry, wrong color.
Recent polls have shown that city councilwoman Mary Norwood is surging ahead in the field of candidates and could possibly avoid a winter run-off by garnering 50 percent of the vote.
Mayor Norwood?
Unfortunately, here comes the bad news. Race controversy has already reached a maximum boiling point, and at a very rapid pace.
MSNBC et al: Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse

Ashley Stinnett
When it comes to finger-pointing and name-calling, no media outlet does it better than MSNBC. When it comes to baseless new stories with an all-but-obvious radical liberal twist, no one does it better than the Democrat News Channel known as MSNBC.

What could have been.
It’s pretty obvious the real newsworthy story of this past week was the rising death toll of American troops in Afghanistan. This should have alarmed anyone following the war.
But this past week, while channel surfing, I couldn’t help but stop on MSNBC after seeing a news brief about President Obama and golf.

The next time you are at the movies, take a look around at the people next to you in the theatre and imagine them not using their cell phone. I know you are thinking this is a stretch considering how society is.
Well, this is exactly what I tried to do this past week.

CrackBerry.
You see, I’m a huge fan of movies, so I did the usual and headed to my local stadium-style mega theatre to watch an otherwise very entertaining film.
Crazy me, but I’m still a traditional guy who enjoys the atmosphere of what being at the movies brings. Not to mention, the movie I saw is a big craze right now and I believe that films are a great parachute from the real life madness we have to listen to everyday.
America’s hate mongers and race-baiters

Ashley Stinnett
A few years ago I attended a political “meet and greet” for a prominent local businessman whom at that time, happened to be running for Secretary of State in my home state. This gentleman’s story was that of a true American. He was born and raised in Nigeria, immigrated to the United States and had suddenly found himself swallowed up by a new job, a family and a hopeful future.
His story is one that should be shared to anyone wanting to come into this country or for those

already here wishing to gain traction in the circle of success. However, on this particular day I was in intrigued by a conversation that took place between this particular candidate and a black female in the audience.
He was addressing the need for more “African-Americans” to stand up for what they believe in and take charge of their lives. Now, keep in mind this was in the midst of the early stages of the media’s love affair with then-presidential candidate Barack Obama. Read the rest of this entry »
Michigan voters might want to wise up

Ashley Stinnett
Maybe Ben Bernanke is right and the economy is starting to take hold once again. Or, maybe he just took a huge sip from the Obama Kool-Aid fountain of falsities. Can we all be clear here and say the unemployment rate is nowhere near 10 percent. In fact, it is more in the range of 15 or 16 percent.

I want your jobs!
Why? The Labor Department stops counting folks who are off the rolls, or in other words, those who have been unemployed for a long period of time or have stopped looking for a job all together. So, every time you hear Washington release unemployment numbers remember the real number hiding behind the so called “number.”
Yes, it is indoctrination

Much has been debated over the recent video that surfaced in which elementary school children are singing praises to President Barack Obama. The first initial reaction by some was that these little New Jersey kids were learning about American history and this was a catchy jingle to help establish a cute learning environment. In fact, the school’s administrators pawned off the whole debacle as an experience in learning black history month.

All hail!
OK, some may still argue that, but that is not the overall problem with what happened. After watching the video a couple of times a giant buzzer went off signaling something else, something much more dangerous. All of a sudden parents all over America got a brief glimpse into the future of what education will look like. Rather, the politics of education.
Obama sworn in as ‘World President’

Ashley Stinnett
The stars have aligned for radical liberals worldwide. America’s Barack Obama is positioning himself to become the world’s first de facto president. Just a short time ago he was a mere college professor opining on important issues such as health care, education and poverty in the United States. Now, he is taking on more daunting issues such as a “new world order” in the form of foreign appeasement and the surrender of the United States currency to foreign dictators.
Didn’t he look comfy this week in the big chair with the gavel? It was frighteningly emperor-esque.

President of the world
Obama’s latest dysfunctional escapade came this week in front of a worldwide audience at the U.N. General Assembly Hall in New York City. As Obama proudly proclaimed that “America will no longer be looked at as a go at it alone nation” world leaders sat and chuckled. Certainly this was a hoorah moment for every anti-Israeli in the crowd.
Farmers line up to oppose Cap and Trade; media doesn’t care

Ashley Stinnett
Much of the economic fuss has been centered on the bailing out of the banks and the auto industry. Sure, a few recent headlines have managed to slip in here and there about the dire effects a global warming bill would have on the coal industry, but for the most part the media has chosen to hone in on what they feel is necessary news and what is not.
It is absurd, but recently ABC “World News” executive Jon Banner was quoted as saying, “it is not in the business of noise.” This quote came on the heels of Banner being probed about not reporting the ACORN scandal.

An end to farming?
None of this is really surprising considering the media chooses to side-step important issues of concern to most Americans. And now we are hearing all about how if a major health care overhaul is not passed immediately then the economy will go into meltdown.
Shut up, Jimmy

- Ashley Stinnett
On Tuesday morning, radical far left ideologue and former President Jimmy Carter declared millions of Americans to be racist. According to Mr. Carter, if any citizen of this nation disagrees with President Obama, on any domestic issue put forward, that individual is undoubtedly a racist. Now, pause for a moment and realize that Jimmy Carter will always be remembered as the worst President in American history.

Fool.
That is not mere hyperbole. Nearly every single poll taken since he left office backs up that assessment. It is hard to believe that a man with zero integrity and all of the makings of an anti-Semite sympathizer is making headlines as someone with a message that is “on target.” Why is Jimmy Carter making news? Is it because he is a former President? No, it is merely Jimmy Carter doing now, what he did over 30 years ago.
