Brokenhearted, but not broken

Herman Cain

You’re not defeated as long as you never stop fighting. And while my presidential campaign is suspended, it’s important to remember that my pursuit of the presidency was only a means to an end. As long as the end is achieved, victory will be at hand.

My incredible army of supporters, whom I can never thank enough for all they have done so far, have not labored in vain. The real prize is still ours for the taking.

I did not want to become president just for the sake of being president. I’m perfectly happy with what I’ve accomplished in my life and I don’t need the ego boost. Rather, I sought the presidency because our nation has some big problems to deal with, and it’s clear that our political class has neither the will nor the ability to solve them.

For that very reason, I was not surprised that I was viciously attacked once I rose in the polls. I was surprised by the nature of the attacks. Me, a womanizer? I would never have thought they’d come up with that one. But I knew the establishment would not like the idea of my success, because I will not get along by going along like so many do. I will not kick the can down the road to the next generation of leaders, because our problems are serious and they need to be solved now.

That threatens people who know there may be a political price to pay for enacting solutions that will work, and would rather wait things out and let someone else take the heat. That would not have been possible during a Cain presidency.

But if real solutions are achieved, it will not matter who achieved them. If Congress and the president take the right measures to ensure our fiscal strength, protect our national security, achieve energy independence, spur economic growth and accomplish health care reform that actually works – it won’t matter to me whose signature is on the bills. Only that the bills become laws that get us to the goal.

And while I am disappointed, there are more than a few silver linings to doing this work outside the context of a presidential campaign. The process by which we choose our nation’s leader is ridiculous. There is little focus on policy substance and even less on candidates’ governing skills. If you’re not warding off some wild accusation, you’re explaining away a “gaffe,” which is usually the sort of slip of the tongue that anyone can make, but because some reporter heard it, it turns into a news-cycle narrative with a shelf life of six or seven days.

That’s behind us. All I need to do now is advocate for solutions that work, under the auspices of TheCainSolutions.com, and that will have two essential elements.

One is to better educate the American people about the nature of the problems we face. There is still too little understanding of the severity of our debt and fiscal crisis. That is why members of Congress lack the political will to solve the problem. They perceive that they will pay a steeper price for taking action than they will pay for doing nothing. That is no excuse for such poor leadership, but the fact remains that if we can change the political dynamic – so that the people are demanding action rather than rewarding inaction – we will be able to change the results.

The second element is to advocate for solutions that actually work. I was amused by the criticism I received for frequently mentioning my 9-9-9 tax reform, particularly by those who referred to it as a “catch phrase” and so forth, clearly demonstrating that they didn’t grasp what it’s all about. The 9-9-9 plan is the biggest transfer of power from government back to the people since the beginning of this nation. That’s what they are afraid of.

I talked about 9-9-9 so often during the campaign because it’s a major reform that would completely change the way we pay taxes, the way we do business and the way people manage their personal budgets. We need reform like that. Political consultants are forever telling candidates to “stay on message,” but I guess that doesn’t apply when the message is a substantive reform that would actually solve problems. Be that as it may, I am far from finished staying on message. The Cain Solutions effort will relentlessly push for an understanding of the real stakes our nation faces, and for a groundswell that demands real solutions.

As I said during my announcement on Saturday, becoming president was Plan A. Anyone with a big goal needs to recognize that you might need a Plan B, and our Plan B has a lot going for it.

Six months ago, most of you had never heard of me. You have now. A lot of what you’ve heard is not true, but I’ve got your attention. Keep listening, and if you care about the future of our country like I do, get involved. Unlike a presidential campaign, what we’re doing now can’t be stopped by scandal-mongering or polls. We’ll only be defeated if we give up.

And we’re not going to do that.

I, for one, am going to support you THROUGH the GOP Convention. YOU are MY candidate for the presidency! Then, if you want to throw those delegates to someone, that’s on you, Herman. But until then, HERMAN CAIN FOR PRESIDENT 2012!!

  • john ballesteros:

Thank you for your determination to forge ahead. I hear you Mr. Cain. As a Christ-follower, I understand your words. I pray we carry on the ideas “our faces set as flint and not ashamed” (Isaiah 50:7) I praise and thank God for the spirit and vision He’s given you.

  • Gregory T. Jones:

    Dear Mr. Cain,

George Washington was practically dragged by patriots to be our first president. Washington wanted to stay on his plantation and farm, but his country needed him. I implore you to listen to the patriotic voices here, and do the right thing for your country. You can make a difference and change the direction of our nation. Take 45 minutes to think about this and let’s ROLL!

Mr. Cain, I feel for you and your family, first. I feel for America, next. I believe that you are coreect, and that we can do this together, either in, or out of the government. Frankly, I’d rather that you were my President, but if you will not be, I will still hang in there with you.

  • Karen DeAngelo:

  • Dana London:

Mr. Cain, we need you, Gloria and 999! Out here, we feel like King David’s troops and we NEED you guiding us and leading us into tomorrow! We don’t care about the smut thrashing of either party at you, it’s irrelevant, WE WANT BOTH OF YOU for the POTUS! Let them say what they will, AMERICA’S GREATEST DAYS ARE IN FRONT, NOT BEHIND! PLEASE RECONSIDER……

  • I refuse to take down my bumper stickers and signs. I am so heart broken </3 Please reconsider and get back in Mr. Cain. YOU said you were called by God to do this. He DOESN'T make mistakes! YOU are the one We the People want, screw the Media! We believe you did nothing wrong, and that you were destroyed. They'll only destroy Newt next and HE did the things you were accused of and more! I will not give up on you. You might have slowed down the Cain Train but you haven't pulled the brake, WE are still driving it while you take a little time to gather yourself and your campaign. How can We the People choose who we want (YOU) if you quit? Let us vote for you, please! We will all show you that you can and will win. I wanna Beat Obama with a Cain! get this Cain Train moving again….. We think you can, we think you can, we think you can, we know you can!

  • CathyV:

Herman Cain has, without a doubt, a compelling and inspiring life story. Out of all the candidates, he was the only one who came up with a bold tax plan that would free us from the tyranny of the current tax code and jump start the economy. As an AMERICAN BLACK CONSERVATIVE, he also exposed the idiocy of liberals who can’t seem to believe that blacks CAN think for themselves and that some blacks ACTUALLY REJECT the liberal dogma. I was sooo looking forward to a Cain vs. Obama debate!

I joined Cain Solutions today because I’m still interested in what Mr. Cain has to say. I hope that when things calm down, he will reconsider and possibly pull a “Plan C” from up his sleeve. I have no doubts that Mr. Cain can still do great things for our country. He is a smart, positive man and a wonderful and inspiring public speaker. Only God is perfect and we have all fallen short in one way or another. Mr. Cain, you still have my support. Good luck and God bless you and your family.

  • Mechelle Stelly:

Please reconsider. You still have a chance. I was falsely accused many times by someone who managed to ruin my reputation, but God pulled me out.

  • Joe:

Mr. Cain: Your words mean nothing to us now. You let us all down. When the going got tough, you tucked your tail between your legs and ran. So say all you want, but we will never trust you or anything you say ever again.

  • Lisa Shelton:

Americans have been disillusioned for a long time…the same Americans that contact their elected officials to say that we DID NOT WANT OBAMACARE, for example….yet there it is. They didnt even know what was in the Bill until after it was passed! We have no representation. Writing a letter to our Congressmen or Senators does not do it, unless its time for re-election. Leadership and ammendments stemming the power of the Congress is the only way it will happen. THAT can only happen with leadership in the Oval Office, I.E. the POTUS. You, Mr. Cain, are the one that we believe can make a difference and right the ship again. This election is so important- a turning point and a mark that will determine whether our nation will rise or fall. You.

  • David Newman:

Mr Cain, I have followed your candidacy with much interest for some time and as a supporter I (like many others ) am very dismayed and disheartened. But I don’t blame you for looking out for the best interests of your family, who I do blame are the people who set out to destroy you, and your brethren in the conservative media, who should have had your back. Not with endorsements, but as witnesses to your good character. As a fellow American Black Conservative I hear the conservative media daily wonder why liberals have such a hold on black voters, their failure to rally to your defense should give them their answer. Good luck to you sir, take care of your family. I still support you.

  • [...] of the attacks. Me, a womanizer? I would never have thought they’d come up with that one. But I knew the establishment would not like the idea of my success, because I will not get along by going along like so many do. I will not kick the can down the road [...]

  • Sheila Hunt:

I won’t support anyone other than Herman Cain period!!!

  • I too am brokenhearted over the suspension of the campaign, but I still support and trust Herman Cain. The presidential campaign is only suspended; it’s not finished. It won’t be over even after the last vote is cast at the Convention. The Cain train will travel on with impact on new policies.

  • Helen Hickman:

Herman I prayed hard that you would enter the presidential race when you were trying to determine whether to run or not and I have been consistently praying for your campaign so that you can make it into the White House. Like many of your supporters, I too believe that you are the man who has been chosen to bring our country from the side of the hill back to the top of the hill.

Please re-consider and come back into the race for our country’s sake and for the sake of all of the grandchildren who will be born in this country.

With God all things are possible. God has taken small armies and defeated huge armies. He helped David to slay a giant with a small stone. Please come back into the race.

We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Come back into the race and let God prove to the American people that he can take a small army and defeat a huge army. Help the America people to see that with faith in God all things are possible.

You and your family are in my prayers.

  • Daniel Cotter:

    Mr. Cain,

You are being naive. Yes, we the people made a sweep of the House of Representatives two years ago. To quote you, “how’s THAT working out”? No amount of unrest among the citizenry will shake them from that malaise. With you at the top, we would have the pressure from all sides upon them, but with you on the same side as us, they will be able to retreat behind the walls, and “in-breed” a new generation. I will be trying to get a win for you in Iowa. Please don’t delegate your special calling to a citizen’s action group. When we pass your torch back to you, please take it up and run for the goal with it.

  • Jim Behm:

I remember someone saying “them that’s goin get on the wagon..them that ain’t get out of the way” Seems to me you just got off the wagon!

  • “I confound the ‘experts,’ but why would I do it their way?”
Exactly sir. The question I ask myself is haven’t I learned from you, and the answer is yes!!!!! To the Main Stream Media, Sorry, WE (the people) did not get your memo. WE are all Herman Cain. You cannot take us all down. Herman Cain for POTUS 2012.. It’s not over until it’s over.. PERIOD!!!!!!

  • Mr. Cain, I understand the challenge of what happened and why you got out. Here’s the problem> The political establishment now has a template how they can drive any outsider or non-traditional candidate. Just throw enough unconfirmed sexual allegations at them and they will bow out. And in fact, many of them may not run.

Now I appreciate you wanting to contribute our dialogue, but how much good is it going to do if the overall lesson from your campaign is that smear merchants can drive people from the process. Who is going to implement your ideas? The same people who are going to be hit the with the same mud you were because the smear merchants know it will work.

  • StungAlongSue:

This sucks Mr. Cain. What difference would the “sort of attacks” against you matter if you knew that there would surely be attacks as you rose in the polls?! Surely you could have expected such digging and thought that someone would have found out that you’d given a woman money, even if she hadn’t come out with a story. You kept it a secret from Gloria, did you think it would stay a secret? What disappoints me with you is that if you decided to pursue this course then you SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERED ALL POSSIBILITIES! Another thing has been THE WAY that you left the race. All that playing cat and mouse that you did last week, commenting that you’d make an announcement “next week” after talking to Gloria, which seems something that you could have done on the phone and spared many, many people the angst and ALSO the long hours of work in many ways and just said…I’m done. You let your volunteers in Georgia work their butts off getting the campaign headquarters ready, when you could have at the least let them know so they could have save themselves the effort. I feel that you should 1. Never have quit. You said that you got into the race for your grandchildren’s future and that you were in it to win it…what happened to that resolve? What about your grandchildren’s future now. You were our ONLY hope to turn this around. 2. The way you handled communication on every level of the campaign was poor at best and needed work badly. But that performance yesterday was absolutely the worst. Almost ego maniacal in a certain way. And now it’s been over 24 hours and you haven’t even had the courtesy to send out an email to your volunteers and contributors, it was up to us to “find” this puny article on line. This is incredibly disappointing. Turns out that you were a politician after all!

  • Breaking: Herman Cain is going to endorse Newt Gingrich on Monday….. What do you all think?? I think it would be FANTASTIC if Newt picked Herman for VP!!!!

  • Pennsylvania Supporter:

Sometimes doing nothing at all is worse than doing the wrong thing. I never took you for a quitter. Total surprise here. Get your butt back in gear and fight for it! Expose those who did you wrong. Do the right thing, make mistakes, but don’t do nothing at all.

  • Cain Failed Us:

PLAN ‘B’?!! IS THIS IT? ONE DAY AFTER DISERTING THE CONTROLS OF THE “CAIN TRAIN” YOU COME OUT WITH THIS CRAP!? YOU BAITED US ALL LAST WEEK INTO THINKING THERE WAS A CHANCE THAT THE CAMPAIGN WOULD PRESS ON, YOU EVEN PUT UP THE “WOMEN FOR CAIN” WEBSITE, WHICH SEEMED LIKE A POSITIVE INDICATION. YOU LET US CONTINUE TO CAMPAIGN AND DEFEND YOU DAY AND NIGHT, NEGLECTING OUR OWN LIVES AND LET YOUR GEORGIA VOLUNTEERS EXHAUST THEMSELVES SETTING UP THE HEADQUARTERS, ONLY TO STAND IN FRONT OF ALL THEY HAD DONE AND ANNOUNCE THAT YOU WERE QUITTING!! YOU HAVEN’T EVEN BOTHERED TO SEND OUT AN EMAIL OF THANKS TO YOUR DONORS AND SUPPORTERS ON YOUR WEBSITE AND YOU ARE WRITING AN ARTICLE ON “PLAN B”. THEN YOU HAVE THE GALL TO END IT WITH, “We’ll only be defeated if we give up. And we’re not going to do that.” YOU DID GIVE UP HERMAN!!! YOU QUIT!! ARE YOU DELUDED? GOOD GRIEF!

  • Brenda Ward:

Mr.Cain tonight I am heartsick with news that you may endorse Newt, please at least leave this off until after the Iowa caucuses. We love you and are suffering as I am sure you are. We have yet to find peace in what is left for us, for us it wasn’t just the message but the person behind the message. You the man not afraid to say what he thought, and to go against the odds when the odds seemed slim..you someone I know I could call friend. We are heartsick and heartbroken..you were our leader. Make sure you can trust Newt, I’m not sure I would, but maybe he has changed..god speed.

  • Pennsylvania Supporter:

FoxieNews: I don’t trust Newt, I don’t like Newt. Do some homework on him. I hope Mr. Cain has better sense than to support Newt or Romney.

  • Kim:

    Mr. Cain,

I am the individual that has been drug through the media due to my slander/libel lawsuit against your latest accuser. I am truly saddened by the latest events and the emotional pain that your family has had to endure. I have lost a lot of respect for media in general. Again, I am truly sorry for the pain your family has endured. I wish you and your family nothing but the best!

  • I think he should wait to see who our nominee is, maybe KINDA endorse someone but not officially… then endorse our nominee or better yet join them as VP!

  • [...] here: Brokenhearted, but not broken Tags: herman [...]

  • Denise Davies:

Mr. and Mrs. Cain, while I’m sorry that you have dropped out of the race, I’m glad that I got to know the true character of good people. I knew you were the right choice to lead this country and, Gloria, you would have made a beautiful first lady. I have one wish that I’m sure that many of your supporters echo, I hope the accusers get their’s back in spades and the pain from their karma is extremely long and painful.

  • Ben Sagou:

Mr Cain. Family comes first. You are right about that. How about Country? It is true that few months ago, many of us didn’t know anything about Herman Cain. However, once you came out and asked for our trust, you should have listend to all the voices that were begging you to stay in this race. You didn’t! I am very desapointed about the way you left the race. You said you are a fighter then, why don’t you stay, stand and fight? I believed in you. As many others around the country, we took you at your words. Do you mean your words don’t matter? Why should anybody believe anything you say in the future? Come on, Mr Cain! You could have done better. I like you, Mr Cain. But I can’t just accept that you decided to pack and go, as if nothing happend.

  • Davis Stevens:

    Mr. Cain,
I, in my 58 years of living on this earth, had never been involved in ANY political campaign in my life. Yes, shame on me, but the point here is that, after praying for direction, it was revealed to me that you had an annointing. That was two months ago, and the timeframe in which I became involved in your campaign. This entire week though, I could not see or feel that annointing because of your actions, or more precise, the lack of them. I am angered as well as saddened about what has transpired; I despise the fact that there appears to have been some bobbing and weaving from you and your camp as well as the unjustified attacks from outside your organization. I remember that you spoke the words, “God has called me to run for President”, or something very close to that. Are you now telling God, as well as the entire CAIN NATION, that you are refusing to follow His calling?? Wow! I’m sorry, but I am unable to refuse the calling of my God that easily. People saw in you the same character that God placed in Joshua and David. Is my relationship with my God so skewed that the message from Him to me of your annointing was just my imagination?? If so, you are off the hook and I am just hearing voices in my head. [I will follow up with my wife who just so happens to be a Psych RN with 30+ years of experience]. If not, let me point out that you have turned your back, not only on those who dumped millions of dollars [and untold hours of their lives] into this struggle, but to the Almighty God. Unless, of course, this was nothing more than an elaborate ruse. And, amazingly, you have done so contritely. I mean, come on, man…who do you think you are fooling with this ‘consolation prize’ of a new website/organization and an upcoming ‘endorsement’, when our very way of life is threatened with each passing day? No one is going to care who you endorse; you’ve lost all credibility with anyone capable of lucid thought, by disengaging over a little mud-slinging. So, who is going to send you money for the ‘new’ organization if they truly examine what transpired here this week? I thought you had more faith in God than what I am seeing today, Mr. Cain. That is my bad judgment, but, to refuse to walk the talk you presented to so very many faithful that you were walking, is YOUR bad.

  • Brenda Ward:

Please wait to endorse until after the caucus, we really don’t like Newt or the other choices…we want to make a statement to the media/establishment that they don’t pick our candidate. Please, sir, do this for us you faithful followers and grassroots supporters

  • R.O.:

Mr. Cain God has put you in a position to running for office at such a time as this, because the very nature of the human race is estate. This race is bigger than you and me. If you choose to stay on the side line while a revolution is taking place, the loss will be greater then me and you loosing our immediately families. Oboma have not only betrayed the Black Community at home and Africans through out world, national security as Christians around the world is being threaten, abortion and samesex marriage is threaten to the proper developement of our childen. For the Black community to support any other candidate would be to sign out own death warrent, we can not leave our survival in the hand of someone elise. For you to stay in the race, win or loose will send a strong message to Barack and the world we will fight, we can not be bought and lies or truth about you in the media will never rise to the level of what is estate for humanity, Christanity and African around the world. If you do not except the challenge to fight for out liberty God will find another. Remember Ester: 4:13 “Think not with thyself that thou shall escape in the king’s house” You can not escape by endorsing someone elise who, care nothing about poor people, the 999 plan, humanity, christanity or the African Nation. I remembered you hesitating on question on world policy, becaue you started to speak out on Libya or Africa and then you hesitated, you should not have because that was God telling you to go ahead, speak out for the poor and the 99 percent, they are the real people, they are the one who Christ died for, at this point what have you got to loose by being silent. Jesse Jackson ran a poor people campaign when had no money and John McCain after suspend his campaign last term went o to win the Republican primary defending the issue of the people and not the establishment.

  • R.O.:

Is it possible for you to get some people you have help, be it money or other financial matters, who will make a commerical for you saying Thank you Herman Cain for helping we when I need help etc.

  • Cathleen Matchinga:

Well Herman, you just proved that the smear tactics of the left worked again. You have enabled them to not only stop you, but also those conservatives that will come after you. Maybe there will be one that is stronger than you. You are a huge disappointment.

  • “There is little focus on policy substance and even less on candidates’ governing skills.”

I agree. Now, when did you say you were going to support Mitt Romney, again? After all, his policy substance and governing skills are second to none, are they not?

  • Arthur Bruce Robertson:

Now that our candidate is out of the race, but still showing determination to make a difference, I suggest we urge him to actively campaign for and energetically promote his 999 plan. As you know, the 999 plan was Herman’s first phase to institution of the Fair Tax. I have been saying for ten years that the Fair Tax was the most logical and sound tax reform proposal ever to be brought forth, and should be implemented by Congress ASAP! There is no doubt that 999 would make an almost immediate jump start to the economy and job creation, if only we could pressure our representatives in Washington to pass it into law. IMHO there is no other tax reform idea that has the potential for restoring our weak economy. We should resist any effort to initiate a flat tax because it still taxes INCOME and is subject to realignment at the whim of Congress.

In short, I would hope we could shift our focus to becoming an organized support group for Americans for Fair Taxation (The Fair Tax organization) with Herman as our head campaigner/promoter. This would be our best place to direct our energies to improve America.

    Arthur Bruce Robertson

  • Brenda:

    Mr. Cain,

My entire family supports you. Like Stacy McCain, however, we feel as if your communication dept. went out the window when J.D. came on board. His foreign policy think tank obviously has some great people in it – but they should stay in that lane.

If a prior (just – one year out) military family can game plan what should be your next move at any given turn, there are thousands of qualified people out there who are able to do the same; you are not limited to people who are actively sabotaging your campaign.

You are an intelligent man with excellent leadership capabilities. Having lived a military life, we know that it isn’t the specifics that make a person successful, it is the ability to walk into a situation and assess it. You obviously have this quality. What we, and and we’re certain millions of other supporters would like to see is some of the following:

    * a discussion of the fact that fellow candidates (and politicians in general) simply *don’t* know the answers to the questions they are given. They know TALKING POINTS.

The only people who know the *actual* answers to foreign security questions are the people who have been given classified briefings. Anyone else is simply blowing smoke. Or touting that they are on a committee and periodically letting something classified slip on national TV.

    * a discussion regarding the fact that *every* single prior president has commented that, after taking office, they discovered the job had absolutely nothing to do with what they thought it was. That all of the campaign “talking points” meant bubkus once they started getting the briefings — which was immediately after they were sworn in.

And finally, we would all absolutely love it if Lin Wood would have his staff subpoena the phone records of the folks who have (baselessly) accused you. Dollars to donuts there would be *received* calls from some interesting people who otherwise would have no reason to be calling these people. Ditto for bank records.

Yes, Newt is an erudite politician. But forget baggage – he has a set of Louis Vuitton trunks following him around. America cannot afford Mittens. She simply cannot.

It is called “suspension” instead of “termination” for a reason: you still have the opportunity to bring on a staff who communicates *out* as well as Mark communicates *guerrilla*; to cram foreign policy “sound bites” along with the best of them; and finally, to do oppo research so deep that it will make those bastards sorry they ever messed with you or hurt your family. Especially Gloria. I mean, how dare they.

  • Wade Eppler:

I am sorry sir but do not tell us to “Keep Fighting” When you QUIT ON AMERICA! and you quit before a single vote was even cast. that is the worst part. I wasted Money on you that could have went to my Family. I understood that it is “About the Gran Kids” and that you were the best chance at getting rid of Obama. Now we are stuck with another 4 years of Obama. There is no way that RINO Romney can beat Obama. and Even though Newt is a Good person The Left will Rip him apart about his past. you think you had it bad? he has proven bad things that the Left will have all over the Lame Stream Media. If you were a Fighter you would have stood strong and said… The Media and the GOP Establishment will not make me Quit! I Am INNOCENT! and the truth will set me free. and you could have finished off with I am Not Quitting as they would like, I will Not Let them win and Mr Obama I am Coming for you! After a speech like that and people knew you were not Quitting your donations would have sky rocketed because Americans Love a Fighter and Hate a Quitter. I Tell my 5 Kids all of their lives to Never Quit!, Never Give Up! when you start something see it through to the end for good or bad. I am sorry sir but I have lost all hope for America making it back from the Destruction of America that Obama has done. P.S I hope you never Quit on anything again in your life, it leads to other failures and more quitting.

  • Stephanie:

    Mr. Cain-

I am broken-hearted that you have suspended your campaign. I understand wanting to protect your family but your American family needs you too!!! I respect Newt’s intellect but do not trust him. Romney is a good guy but am afraid of his flip-flopping on ideas. You are the only one who is willing to be frank with the American people about where we are as a country and where we need to go and how we can get there. At the end of the day, God has a plan for us and I know that he will lead you in the right direction.

    Mr. Cain,
Please run for president. There are still polls with you in the lead after you suspended your election. I sincerely hope you will reconsider. We need a true conservative for president. There are already write in Herman Cain pages on Facebook for the primary. None of your supporters want any other candidate. YES U CAIN!

  • Tony Cerrone:

    Herman,

I am truly disappointed by your decision, though I can somewhat understand the reasoning. I strongly urge you to find and expose the true culprits of the various smear campaigns. The left wing media has ridiculed you and I can expect they will gloat about how they were able to get you out of the race. You have a great opportunity to shine a light on the low life animals on MSNBC and other “news” outlets. I am proud to have known and worked for you. I gladly told anyone who would listen about my personal experiences with you and and attesting to your amazing leadership and motivational abilities. Looking forward to helping defeat Obama!

    Warm Regards,
    Tony Cerrone

  • I am sorry you threw in the towel , I too have been smeared in court and I fought back and won, not money, just my good name. You do have the power and the money to sue these women for libel, please do so, or there will always a cloud over your head. This was a high tech lynching.
” here is fruit for the crows to pluck,
for the rain to gather, for the wind to suck,
for the sun to rot, for the trees to drop,
here is a strange and bitter crop.” You were our only hope to stop this communist mad man.

  • Bethany Deptula:

    Mr. Cain,

My husband and I supported you 1000%. The day you quit, we wrote letters of encouragement to you. We don’t have much money but we contributed to your campaign. We did our best to spread the word about you, and we defended you when the bullets started flying.
We understand that you want to protect your family from the vultures that call themselves “news reporters”. We know that they were a major reason why you stepped down. Now, we are trying to process this loss because it really hit us hard. Never before have either of us been so passionate about a presidential candidate. There is nobody else in this race that would have done as good a job as you. We are still sad but we also trust that God’s will was done.
We are glad you aren’t going away but we really did prefer “Plan A” to whatever “Plan B” is! We love you. God bless you and your family.
